The CARES Act allocated $350 billion to assist small businesses across the country who are struggling amid the pandemic and economic downturn. The initiative provides loans to small businesses to be used to retain workers, maintain payroll and make mortgage, lease or utility payments as well as cover interest costs on other debt obligations incurred before Feb. 15, 2020.
