Back in 1994, along with some co-workers from the former St. Louis Bank for Savings (St. Looie), Joe started North Shore Mortgage and has had the pleasure to watch it grow to be the area’s largest local residential lender. Along with being a UMD graduate and a US Navy veteran, Joe has nearly 35 years of mortgage lending experience, a wall full of awards from various community housing associations, and the honor to sit on numerous local and state lending and non-lending boards of directors. First rate service, local decision making, and doing everything right the first time are standards that Joe intends never to compromise.
Ask anyone who has obtained a home mortgage from Julie over the last 32+ years and they will tell you that she is, and will continue to be, their one and only mortgage banker. As a Loan Originator with North Shore since 1994, Julie’s consistent level of business referrals is a testament to her standards for customer service and satisfaction. Julie has a long history of community involvement and is currently a member of the Duluth Association of Realtors and the Arrowhead Builders Association.
Chana has been in the mortgage business for over 30 years, the last 24 years with North Shore Bank where she has held positions of underwriter and loan originator. She has extensive experience originating conventional, FHA/VA and construction loans. She especially enjoys working with first-time Homebuyers and un-complicating the loan process for her clients. Chana is involved in the community of Duluth and volunteers at various organizations in the area including Life House, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity and LOON. Chana belongs to Rotary-Club 25, Hermantown Chamber of Commerce and the Duluth Chamber of Commerce.
Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Duluth and the 2008 Leadership Duluth program. An employee of North Shore since 1990, Elizabeth has served in a variety of capacities including Retail Banker and Office Supervisor before transitioning to her current Mortgage Originator position in 2004. Elizabeth says she is most proud of the fact that she has successfully worked for the same employer for 20 years and still finds the work challenging, rewarding and exciting.
Kris is a veteran loan officer who joined the North Shore Mortgage team in 2014. She has extensive experience in the area, and brings that to bear on helping her clients find the right lending solution, tailored to their specific needs. Kris grew up in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and attended Arizona State University, graduating with a degree in Business Finance.
Marnie is a 2013 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking which she attended at the University of WI, Madison. She has spent her entire professional career with North Shore Bank, more than 30 years. Marnie has served in a variety of capacities including Retail Banker, Private Banking Executive and Branch Banking Manager before transitioning to her current Mortgage Originator position. She is actively involved with the Rotary Club of Superior and the Realtors as Neighbors Foundation and is an Ambassador for the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
