In addition to serving as the Bank's Executive Vice President, Brenda oversees North Shore Investments & Trust, North Shore Retirement Solutions Center, North Shore Private Banking, North Shore Insurance, and Information Technology & Innovation. She is a graduate of the University of Washington Electronic Payments Institute, the Minnesota Bankers Commercial Lending School, the University of Wisconsin’s Graduate School of Banking, the Cannon Trust School, the Leadership Duluth program and she is an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP). Brenda has served on a number of non profit boards over the years, including Program of Promise, Girl Scouts of MN and WI, Lakes & Pines, and the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.

Ken was appointed President & CEO of North Shore Bank in 2017 after a 28 year career overseeing a number of different departments at the bank. Ken is actively involved in the banking industry on both a regional and national level, and currently serves on the Minnesota Bankers Association Board of Directors as Vice Chair/Treasurer, as well as the American Bankers Association Government Relations Council. In addition, he also serves on the APEX Board of Directors and believes in the importance of building a strong and vibrant business community. Ken is passionate about the bank and its employees and it shows.

Patricia provides strategic direction in HR for North Shore Bank, bringing with her a wealth of experience in Human Resource leadership having worked in a variety of industries. Patricia’s specialties include: corporate culture, employee relations, leadership, recruitment, performance management, training and development, benefits administration, policy development and strategic planning. Her vast background in HR provides valuable insight and direction as our staff and service offerings continue to grow. Patricia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Dakota and is SHRM- SCP and SPHR certified. She is also a graduate of the renowned Dale Carnegie Training. In her free time, Patricia serves on the Board of Directors for the Northland Human Resources Association and serves on the Lake Superior Zoo Board.

Rick Haney has been in the banking industry for over 35 years, spending the last 22 as part of the North Shore Bank team where he oversees Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Quality Control and Information Security. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and is a 2010 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

In Matt’s sixteen years of employment with North Shore Bank, he has worked in various departments including Commercial Banking, Private Banking and Financial Operations. In 2019, he was appointed to the role of Vice President of Finance and Operations, where he managed the Financial Operations, Consumer Deposit and Loan Operations, and Marketing departments. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance, with a minor in Economics from Michigan Tech. In 2019, he completed the Graduate School of Banking program held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning both the Graduate School of Banking degree and a Master’s Certificate in Executive Leadership. Matt serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Downtown Council and is an active volunteer with the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in the Northland.

In 2005, while still a student at the College of St. Scholastica, Tom became employed by North Shore as a part-time bank teller. Since then Tom not only received his degree, but after working with the Bank’s North Shore Mortgage Division and completing MN Bankers' Commercial Lending School, he earned a coveted spot on the bank’s business banking team. In 2022, Tom was promoted to the role of VP, Business Banking. Tom serves on several community organization boards of directors. He also continues to enjoy his love for baseball as the head coach for the Lakeview American Legion team.

Brad Gallop is a 35-year veteran of the mortgage industry, holding leadership positions in a number of national and regional mortgage companies. With extensive experience in sales operations management, Brad prides himself on empowering his team to reach their full potential. Brad earned his Masters of Business Administration from the Jack Welch Management Institute – Strayer University, and he earned his undergrad banking & finance degree from the University of North Dakota. Brad serves on the Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. 

Roberta joined North Shore Bank in 2021, bringing over 35 years of experience in mortgage lending. With a career that began in the Twin Cities area and expanded to Duluth in 2021, Roberta has built a strong foundation in both retail and wholesale, and correspondent mortgage operations, primarily within community and banking environments. Over the past 32 years, Roberta has held various management roles, overseeing all facets of mortgage operations.

Mandi joined North Shore Bank in 2021 as the Director of Marketing & Communications. In her current role, she oversees both Marketing and the Retail Banking division, bringing over 20 years of diverse marketing experience across industries including franchise consumer services, sports marketing, and event planning.

Mandi holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Cloud State University. In 2023, she earned her Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation from the American Bankers Association.

Derek joined North Shore Bank in April 1998 and has been a key driver of technology advancements and innovation within the organization. With exceptional leadership, dedication, and vision, he has played a critical role in shaping the bank's technology infrastructure. 

Jena began her banking career with North Shore as a part time teller in 1990 and has since held several key positions within the bank ranging from lending to trust administration. Jena’s broad range of banking knowledge allows her to give clients a complete and well-rounded Wealth Management experience. Her attention to detail and genuine interest in her customers’ financial well-being makes her role in the Investments & Trust division a natural fit. Jena is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, the ABA National Graduate Trust School, and is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA). Jena’s commitment to improving our community is evidenced by her involvement in the many non-profit organizations she has worked with over the years. Currently Jena serves on the Executive Board of the Duluth Superior Eco Rotary.

Samantha joined North Shore Bank in 2004 and has served in a variety of roles including account administration. Her background in personal trusts, conservatorships, estates, IRAs and investment management accounts was a perfect segue into her role where she is responsible for the operational administrative and client experience. Samantha is a graduate of the Duluth Business University, with an Associate's degree in Business Administration. She is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and a graduate of the ABA National Trust School and ABA Graduate Trust School. Samantha serves as President of the St. Ann's Residence board of directors.

Megan joined North Shore Bank’s Investment & Trust department in June 2023 as a portfolio manager. Previously she worked as a financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial and Wells Fargo Advisors in Bismarck, ND.

Megan graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM professional and holds the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor^SM designation.
