Matt graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in History and Political Science. While at UMD, Matt played Division I hockey for the Bulldogs and was a four-year member of the WCHA All-Academic team. After college Matt played professional hockey for two years. In 2005, Matt began his career in the Insurance business. He joined North Shore Bank in 2019 to form and manage the new Insurance division, North Shore Insurance. Matt specializes in Property and Casualty insurance and is also licensed to sell Life and Health insurance. Matt enjoys the daily interactions with current and new clients. He believes in a slowdown approach to business and really enjoys getting to know his clients first. Matt’s goal is to find the best policy for his clients, at the best price and develop long lasting relationships for years to come. Matt is a member of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. When he is not working, he spends his time coaching youth hockey at the Duluth Amateur Hockey Association, as the head coach of the Duluth East Peewee AA boys’ hockey team, and as a Varsity Assistant Coach for the Duluth East High School boys’ hockey team.

Joe graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a bachelor’s degree in sports/entertainment/event management. While in college, Joe played Division III hockey in the Eastern College Athletic Conference for the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats. Shortly after college, Joe launched his career in the insurance industry, and he started his own insurance agency in 2017. He ran a full service agency up until late 2021 when he decided to join the North Shore Bank team and enhance their growing insurance agency. Joe is licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance in Minnesota and Wisconsin. When he is not helping clients find the best policy for their needs, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and hockey.

Ian joined the North Shore Insurance team in 2026 as an Insurance Associate. A Hermantown native, Ian brings a professional background in account and sales management, along with extensive experience in customer service and relationship building. Ian looks forward to connecting with both new and existing clients. His knowledge and expertise allow him to help clients navigate their needs, understand their options, and feel confident in the decisions they make.
