North Shore Bank is a locally-owned and managed, independent, community bank that has been operating in the Duluth area for over 100 years! North Shore Bank is seeking a Building Engineer I to join our maintenance team! This individual will work on a team to perform onsite routine and preventative building and office maintenance at all of our locations. This position is located onsite in Duluth, MN. North Shore Bank.

What You will Do:

  • Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and other general duties associated with maintaining office buildings.
  • Perform routine building and system maintenance including mechanical and plumbing etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (inspections, cleaning, testing etc.)
  • Perform building repair including plumbing fixtures, bulb replacements etc.
  • Cross train and continue to learn additional responsibilities.
  • Drive company vehicle to other branches for errands or company deliveries.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of completed technical training preferred
  • Minimum of three years of building/office maintenance experience in lieu of technical training
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external contacts
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to drive a company vehicle
  • Basic use of hand/power tools
  • Ability to climb ladders, walk, stoop, crawl or stand for longer periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
